This project included the re-surfacing Dublin Port Tunnel Both bores and all access roads north and south of the Dublin Port Tunnel.

 

The project included the upgrade of 50 no. Road gullies and Broken/ damaged kerbs the upgrade of drainage, CCTV & jetting of oil-based material from the surface water drainage pipework and the safe recycling of the product.

 

The project also included the replacement of broken and damaged drains and manholes to D400 standard.All works were carried out under night possessions including the plaining off the road surface drainage installation and the application of line markings and cats’ eyes.

The work was carried out for Dublin Port Authority under the supervision of TII.

The biggest challenge to the project was Traffic Management and working to ensure the tunnel was open to through running each morning.
